There is something wonderful about having an engagement shoot before your wedding day, even when you’re as comfortable in front of the camera as Sophie and Dan.

While they both said that they weren’t particularly nervous (which is the main reason that most of my couples opt for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day), both Sophie and Dan said it was just so lovely to take some time out from wedding planning and really enjoy some time out together.

I love the way that Dan makes Sophie laugh with such abandon that she throws her whole head back and giggles. I also love the way that Sophie sneaks adoring looks at Dan when he isn’t watching. I really loved being around these two as they are so obviously in love and get on so well.

It really didn’t hurt that they picked the most stunning evening possible with an incredible sunset and there is nothing better than gorgeous light and a loved up couple to make this photographer happy!

Sophie and Dan are tying the knot at Tewinbury Farm this Christmas which is a gorgeous venue for winter weddings; it always looks so utterly festive and beautiful. And with Sophie’s exquisite taste I know it’ll look absolutely incredible, as will they both.
