Tewin Bury Farm is a hotel venue with a barn wedding area based in the small village of Tewin. It offers full planning or dry hire for weddings with two different wedding hire areas for your wedding ceremony and reception.
History of Tewin Bury Farm
Tewin Bury Farm is still a family run business, which I love, and has been in the same family since 1931. It was originally a dairy farm and in 1980 they opened four rooms as an experiment. From there it blossomed into the 700 acre hotel and entertaining space you’ll find today.

1. Barn vibes
If rustic vibes and exposed beams get you going then Tewin Bury Farm is definitely going to do it for you. The Tythe Barn is a huge barn space that can seat up to 160 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. It can also accommodate 250 for bigger parties if you want something a little less formal like buffet food (or all those extra evening guests!).
It opens out straight onto the garden area for summer canapé hour too.
I love the maisonette balcony for a great space to take interesting photos from as well!
2. Sustainability
I love any venue that puts sustainability at the heart of their brand. Just as I pride myself on keeping my carbon footprint as low as possible, Tewin does the same. They have a farm to fork approach to their menus and their food is absolutely delicious.
3. Accommodation options
Tewin Bury Farm has so many different room types for you and your guests from rooms that are dog friendly to rooms with hot tubs. Or fancy a little Shepard’s hut retreat for the night? No problem! All the rooms are lovely so there will be something to suit everyone’s budget and taste.
4. Great staff
As a family run business, it’s clear that Tewin Bury Farm treat their staff well and as such their staff treat their guests the same well. Their staff are all attentive, polite and seem to genuinely enjoy being at work. Weddings run smoothly and without issues. Not true of all venues!
5. Wedding suite
The added benefit, above and beyond the guest accommodation, is that the wedding suite at Tewin Bury Farm is really spacious. There’s plenty of space for you and your crew to get ready in on the wedding morning which makes for better photos as you’re not trying to navigate round a tiny room with a big bed in the middle.
THE AREAS FOR YOUR CEREMONY AND RECEPTION
The main area at Tewin Bury Farm is The Tythe Barn which is a huge barn space that can seat up to 160 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast.
The other area to consider is Kingsbridge Estate; a private hire estate owned by Tewin Bury Farm where you can put up tipis or a marquee to really make it your own.
