ABOUT OFFLEY PLACE IN HERTFORDSHIRE
Offley Place is a stunning venue dating back to the Saxon period. You’ll find the 27 acre estate at the end of a sweeping driveway in the village of Great Offley (a few miles from Hitchin), Hertfordshire. It’s licensed to host both indoor and outdoor civil ceremonies.

If you dream of the most elegant day you can imagine then Offley Place has to be on your wish list. It is bright, light and stunning with gorgeous spaces for photos indoors and out so you’re covered no matter the weather. I couldn’t love the feel of this venue more.

If you are planning a wedding with a lot of guests then this could be the perfect country house venue for your wedding day. The Hester Ballroom, which was added to the venue in 2018 (but looks seamless) can accommodate 250 guests comfortably while the beautiful Conservatory seats 120 comfortably for smaller receptions. This makes it a perfect venue for larger weddings and they host a lot of Indian, Greek and Jewish weddings at the venue.

I’m a big fan of getting married outdoors so love wedding venues where you can opt for an indoor or outdoor ceremony. On a dry day there is something wonderfully romantic about tying the knot outdoors isn’t there?
4. Great outdoor space for wedding photos
The grounds at Offley are really pretty and well maintained giving you ample opportunity to take photos outdoors. Not only will you end up with lovely photos of your guests mingling on the large patios and lawns, but your family photos and couple photos can also take place in the numerous areas of the grounds – beautiful!
5. Exclusive use
Offley Place is an exclusive use wedding venue so you won’t bump into another wedding couple on your wedding day or in the hotel rooms, if you chose to use them. You’ll have the full care of the attentive staff for the entirety of your wedding celebration – no sharing here!
THE AREAS FOR YOUR CEREMONY AND RECEPTION
As mentioned above, you can marry outdoors. Indoor wedding ceremonies and receptions can take place either in the Conservatory or the Hester Ballroom.
