Canal pre-wedding shoot: Katherine & Jonny

Canal pre-wedding shoot: Katherine & Jonny

Katherine & Jonny opted for a canal pre-wedding shoot near her parents’ home in Hemel before their Ashridge House wedding this autumn.

It was a lovely day when we set out that turned to rain and forced us into a pub (shame!), but ended as sunnily as it began. And who says you get four seasons in a day in the UK?!

I can’t wait to photograph Katherine & Jonny’s wedding. They are starting the day at the same church that Katherine’s parents and Jonny’s grandparents married at – how lovely is that element of continuing a family tradition? Then they are heading to the gorgeous Ashridge House for a relatively intimate reception, then have all their friends joining them for a big party in the evening. I think it’s going to be fab! Katherine & Jonny are so relaxed about the day which is always great fun to be around, but also Ashridge House has been on my wish list for a little while now.

This lovely couple met through mutual friends years ago and have been together ever since. It’s easy to see why they gravitated towards each other. Katherine has a super infectious laugh and smile. Jonny has a great knack of making her laugh. They are obviously incredibly happy together and I really enjoyed spending time together taking some photos.

Now their wedding has happened I’m delighted to be able to update this post with their stunningly elegant Ashridge House wedding photos for you to look at too.

Roll on autumn – I don’t know about the happy couple, but I couldn’t be more excited!  If you live near a canal and fancy some informal photos or are having an Ashridge House wedding, please do feel free to drop me a line.
