I’m so grateful to be recommended as an Andaz Hotel wedding photographer by the venue itself. Without them I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet Kathryn and Matthew. Nor would I have had the pleasure of being involved in their wonderful wedding day.
The whole day took place at the Andaz Hotel in London. The girls were getting ready but it was a strangely calm morning. Never before have I seen a bride playing card games with her bridesmaids on the morning of her wedding! Kathryn’s Pronovias gown was absolutely exquisite; she looked like a classic movie star in it.
The guys were equally chilled out; joking around at each other’s expenses. Matthew looked super sharp in his tailored suit and I do love a bridal party in bowties!
Their civil ceremony was short and sweet, followed by drinks and canapés in the gallery. Kathryn and Matthew really fancied having a photo in Liverpool Street station so we wandered out and about for a bit. Then dinner in the 1901 restaurant followed. I loved the personalised wine charms that they had as favours. The room looked beautiful with their emerald green touches and gorgeous orange based flower arrangements.
The speeches were great and I saw something I’ve genuinely never seen before! Ben, the best man, had set Matthew’s wedding gift into a giant jelly and made him dig it out with a spatula. Apparently this isn’t the first time he’s set Matthew’s possessions into jelly either…!
Kathryn & Matthew did a wonderful first dance which was choreographed to perfection. The turns and dips all looked even better with Kathryn’s dress swishing behind them! I hope the photos do it justice. I left them to it partying away, but wow, what a great wedding!
If you can’t get enough of these two cuties (and I can’t blame you) then you can also see their very beautiful Primrose Hill engagement shoot where they had the most beautiful weather ever. Enjoy!
