I absolutely love the Cotswolds so was thrilled to work as a Great Tythe Barn wedding photographer for Charlotte & Liam’s big day.
I first met Charlotte in February last year at a wedding show and adored her immediately. I wasn’t able to meet Liam until December when we did their wintery Richmond engagement shoot, but then I felt Charlotte was meant to find me. They are such a lovely, fun, gorgeous couple to be around!
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to spend much time together in the run up to the wedding as Charlotte & Liam were in the midst of moving to Australia as Liam had just been offered a job in Perth! They had all up the inevitable difficulties that you’d expect when planning a wedding from the other side of the world!
The Great Tythe Barn near Tetbury is such a stunning venue. It can sleep up to 90 guests so it’s fab for exactly what Charlotte and Liam opted for; whole weekend weddings. They were back from Australia so really wanted to make the most of seeing their families and friends. As such they had a BBQ on the Friday, their wedding on the Saturday and brunch on the Sunday – sounds epic to me! The whole venue is beautiful with the main house being very modern but the barn remaining beautifully rustic; the best of both worlds.
None of the logistical hurdles of wedding planning from the other side of the world showed at all on their beautiful wedding day as it was the most perfectly planned and styled wedding.
Charlotte and Liam had their ceremony in the nearby Holy Trinity church in Long Newnton and all their guests were taken there and back by red London bus. The bus even came back to given Charlotte and Liam their own private escort back to the venue where they were greeted to a confetti shower, it was so lovely.
Even more than the gorgeous flowers, table decorations and finishing touches, it was how friendly, happy and lovely the families and friends of Charlotte & Liam were that made the day so special.
As well as lots of laughter throughout the day, the room was in stitches at the great speeches that we heard. Then there was more laughter on the dance floor as people cut loose! Charlotte & Liam even let me drag them off for a few night time photos, and we all know how much I love that!
Charlotte and Liam are two of the sweetest people going and clearly love being around each other so this was a day filled with so much happiness and I wish them so much love and all good things for the future. I know that Charlotte & Liam have now returned to life in Australia so I’m sad that I won’t get to see them for a while. But, thank you so much for including me in your beautiful wedding.
