Annabel & James came to me after I photographed Annabel’s brother, Simon’s, Hertfordshire humanist wedding to Kim a few years ago and her sister’s 21st just after that. They have the perfect home for putting up a marquee so it’s great to really make their wedding their own. It’s always wonderful to be able to share some Hertfordshire marquee wedding photos but especially from such a brilliant day.
It was lovely to be back at their beautiful home and around so many wonderful people. The day started off a little grey, which Annabel was pretty worried about, but luckily the day remained dry throughout.
Annabel started the day at her childhood home with her parents and bridesmaids and the atmosphere was relaxed and excited.
The boys were briefly at the house then went to the local pub for a drink.
The ceremony was at the family church in Wheathampstead. It’s also the church where I’ve now photographed a number of the family’s christenings so I love how these little threads weave through their stories.
The marquee looked absolutely stunning with paper lanterns strung everywhere and absolutely stunning delicate pink and white flower arrangements adorning the tables.
The speeches were very funny and this crowd never disappoint when it comes to the dancing. I love a wedding when any of this family are involved! I hope they all continue to include me in their big days for many years to come!
I’m sure you’ll agree that putting together a marquee wedding is no easy task but as you’ll see from these Hertfordshire marquee wedding photos it is absolutely worth the hard work when you get exactly what you want and pull off a day like this.
