Great Fosters wedding photographer: Ellie & Jon

Ellie and Jon were blessed with such a beautiful summer’s day for their wedding which meant their outdoor ceremony could go ahead as planned. And it was a corker! I love working as a Great Fosters wedding photographer and have had the pleasure of photographing here a few times in the past, but this really was a fun-filled day.

The girls all got ready in one of the stunning bedrooms with Ursula Jones doing a fantastic job on the makeup. Ellie looked a million dollars in her floaty, ethereal dress with a Grecian feel and sparkly Dune shoes. I loved the way her navy bridesmaid dresses set the colourful bouquets off as well.

This fitted perfectly with the custom-made suit for Jon that had great details like his initials embroidered into his cuff and colour coordinated button holes all in orange. These were all perfectly coordinated with the flowers, ties and his button hole. It all fit together wonderfully.

Ellie and Jon’s ceremony took place outside under the gazebo, a beautiful flower arch and the blazing sunshine. It was sweet and emotional and watched by people that obviously adored them. The look Ellie’s Dad gave her when he first saw her was one of such adoration that I had to stop and wipe away a quick tear!

The rest of the day was equally as wonderful; outside drinks, brilliant speeches, the first dance sung by Ellie’s cousin. Ellie’s Mum made the main speech and did a great job, followed by the groom and best man. Cracking speeches all round!

I also adored the styling in the Great Hall at Great Fosters. All oranges and reds with the chillis tied round the napkins; love it!There were such lovely little touches like all the napkins tied up with tiny bunches of spicy peppers which I’d never seen before and it looked fabulous.

Then there was the incredible Choccywoccydoodah cake which always defy expectations with how much chocolate they can hold up! They are just so impressive to look at – amazing.

Dancing got a little crazy – everyone let loose! The roulette and blackjack tables were getting some fairly heavy usage too. All in all it was a fab evening. After stealing Ellie & Jonathan away for a quick nighttime shot I left them to the dancing.

This really was a brilliant wedding and you know these two have many more happy days like this ahead of them…
