I loved my second time working as a Priory Barn wedding photographer at Laurie & Carly’s wedding. The first time at The Priory Barn was years ago so it was lovely to be back, and on such a glorious day.
I started the day with Carly and her beautiful bridesmaids at home. It was the calmest of environments with Carly definitely more excited than nervous. She let me have a sneaky peek of her gorgeous dress. Turns out when at Veils of Berkley her Mum had egged her to try it on as a joke, but the minute it was on they all knew it was the one. The knee length powder blue dress with lace overlay was absolutely stunning and Carly coupled it with a gorgeous pair of shoes from the new Irregular Choice wedding range. Stunning! I loved the moment the bridesmaids got their first glimpse of the beautiful bride as she’d kept the dress entirely under wraps until she came downstairs. The look was finished off perfectly with her flowers by Julie Cambridge.
The boys hung out at the pub in the morning. Laurie looked super dashing in his custom suit by the wonderful Vic Alexander. Laurie was driven by his granddad in his vintage Morris Minor which was pretty special.
After the lovely ceremony the guests were treated to drinks and canapés outside. The weather was absolutely spectacular with wall to wall blue skies. The room looked amazing when it had been turned around including huge letters spelling LOVE which looked fab!
After dinner and three great speeches Laurie’s golfing passion was put to the test with mini golf and other lawn games. Turns out that after a few drinks guests can get rather competitive over the rules and regulations of mini golf!!
I left them and their guests dancing away into the night to music by Blue Mark with Laurie & Carly heading off on honeymoon a few days later. Such a spectacularly lovely day with a marvelous couple. I hope the photos do it justice!
