Kent family photographer: an autumnal trip to the pumpkin patch
It isn’t often that I get the pleasure of working as a Kent family photographer which is a real shame because isn’t it just one of the most beautiful parts of the country? This day was no different. The autumnal colours were stunning and accompanying this gorgeous family on their pumpkin picking trip was the highlight of my autumn!
We visited the amazing Hop Shop which if you’re local and haven’t visited you are seriously missing out. It was beautiful under the autumnal sun with the changing leaves but it’s also got huge lavender fields over summer. I would highly recommend it as a lovely place to visit.
It was so great to catch up with K and K and their gorgeous boys. After photographing their wedding a few years ago they invited me back to capture their gorgeous older son at 6 months. Now was the turn of their younger son. It’s crazy to see how much their family has changed in such a short space of time. I love being given the huge privilege of growing up with a family (well they’re growing up, I am doing less well!) They are both such stylish little guys in their coordinated autumn coloured outfits, love it!
We took a wander around the farm; met a horse, picked some pumpkins to cook and carve, played near the windmill, saw some cows, watched the river run. It really is a lovely little piece of English countryside and such a relaxing way to spend a few hours.
Enjoy the photos and although belated, I hope you had fun picking and carving your own pumpkins. If you fancy having your own pumpkin picking trip captured next year you can find out about the whole process here.
