Ufton Court wedding photographer: Gabrielle & Karl
What a fabulous day as an Ufton Court wedding photographer capturing Gabrielle & Karl’s gorgeous day.
I have to admit that I’d never even heard of Ufton Court before Gabrielle & Karl asked me to share their day with them, but it’s a real hidden gem. The beautiful barn is next to a Grade 1 listed building, giving you the best of both a country house wedding and a rural country feel wedding. It certainly didn’t hurt that Gabrielle & Karl were lucky enough to have the most gloriously sunny day (sandwiched by two hideous ones!) – obviously meant to be.
Before we got to Ufton Court, Gabrielle & Karl both got ready at their respective homes. They both are from Farnborough originally (although currently living in New Zealand) and so chose to have their ceremony at Saint Michael’s Abbey in their home town. It’s actually an old Benadictine Monastry and just gorgeous, nestled high on a high, shrouded from view by trees. I loved it!
After their beautiful ceremony, guests received a warm welcome to the reception greeted with mugs of beer and Pimms. The barn was decorated beautifully with relaxed flowers, pretty details and little hints of their live in New Zealand in the wine and table names, all of which were New Zealand vineyards. Between heartfelt speeches by Gabrielle’s father, the groom and the best man; an amazing hog-roast dinner; and people really letting loose on the dance floor, it was a really fun evening. I was having a bit of a boogie myself but shhhh!
Gabrielle & Karl are now back in New Zealand getting back to real life, but also getting ready to welcome a baby into their family – how hugely exciting! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the photos!
