Three generations from one family
It’s not often that I have the pleasure of a multi-generational family photoshoot so this was a real treat. I met up with Becky after she’d come back to the UK from New Zealand after getting some sad family news. Having not seen family for most of 2020 due to the bizarre situation we all find ourselves in, and not knowing when she might get back to New Zealand, her NZ colleagues gifted her a photoshoot voucher with me.
It was so nice to meet up with this friendly, warm, loving family. These two boys were the MOST fun to hang out with! We spent a super time in the forest playing hide and seek, having stick fights, climbing trees and throwing leaves. There is something very good for the soul about hanging out with kids – especially ones as wonderful as these two 🙂
It’s clear to anyone that they all love spending time together and I’m so glad I was able to capture three generations of this family together in photos.
Consider getting the grandparents involved…
I rarely get asked to include grandparents in photo sessions but am often asked to take photos for the grandparents as gifts. I’m now wondering why we aren’t including them more? Maybe we should all make time for photos -with- the grandparents a little more?
I’m sure they would love to be included and I’m sure our kids will love to have the photos with their beloved grandparents for their future memories.
If you want to include grandparents in your next family photoshoot then just let me know. We can still get lots of great shots of your immediate family too, but include the next generation in the frame as well. What a gift to both them, you and your kiddos.
Drop me a line and let’s get everyone involved in a multi-generational family photoshoot! Not interested in getting the grandparents involved? See lots of other types of families in these happy Hertfordshire family photography galleries.
For the moment, I’ll leave Becky to tell you how she felt about her photoshoot:
I was gifted a family shoot by a friend. From the moment I contacted Tori she put me instantly at ease. She was super responsive to my questions about advice on location and clothes. She was so easy to get along with and friendly – her communication was top notch. She put my children at ease by laughing and joking with them and took the time to get to know them. She was so good at capturing those natural moments and we got a good variety of photos. At no time did the shoot feel rushed. What we received were so many beautiful photos and moments captured of our family. I was blown away by the quality of them and I can’t thank Tori enough for these wonderful memories. I would recommend Tori to anyone who would like to create lasting memories.
