Beaumont Estate wedding photographer: Alethea & Paul

Alethea and Paul are two of the sweetest people ever so I’m so happy they are joining their lives together. And they picked a beautiful day (albeit it absolutely stinking hot!) for their wedding. I hope you enjoyed the photos above of my first experience as a De Vere Beaumont Estate wedding photographer, but let me tell you a little more about their day.

Alethea started the day with her girls on one side of the Beaumont Estate hotel… and a first for me, watching a boxing match! They were all giddy with anticipation, and a few glasses of bubbles, but the atmosphere in the room was electric. And Alethea looked a million dollars with her beautiful makeup and dress.

The boys were equally excited at the far end of the hotel and I got my steps in wandering back and forward between them!  You know when you are around them that this is what happiness is meant to look like.  Paul spent all morning having little gifts sent up to Alethea’s room; ‘bride’ PJs, a robe to get her makeup done in, 50 roses (!), a bottle of Veuve Clicqout and the list goes on.  He is the sweetest of guys and obviously wanted to make Alethea feel spoilt on her special day.  Job well done I reckon!

At one point she just sat on the edge of the bed and said ‘I wish Paul was here with me.  He keeps me calm and balances me out perfectly’.  And if that isn’t what we all want from a partnership I don’t know what is.

The ceremony was a sweet affair with an equal measure of emotion and excitement. Alethea was walked down the aisle by her brother and was quite overcome by emotion, but then punched the air when they were pronounced married. It was so great to see them so excited!

We enjoyed the stinking hot weather and then made our way to the deconsecrated Romanesque chapel for the wedding breakfast. It’s really a stunning room and Alethea and Paul had it lit to perfection.

Paul’s speech was a stand out and got some incredible reactions as you’ll see and then the dance floor was also crazy.

This was such a fun wedding. I was so honoured to be asked to be their De Vere Beaumont Estate wedding photographer and even more than that I’m so pleased to be able to update this post to say that Alethea and Paul now have two beautiful boys who I still have the pleasure of photographing.
