Helena & Jeremy got married at the gorgeous Tewinbury Farm in Hertfordshire a few months after this spring engagement shoot around Verulamium Park in St Albans.
They were a little nervous turning up to their engagement shoot, mainly because having told them not to wear matching outfits, nor black and white head to toe they turned up in exactly that because their washing machine had jammed with all their clothes in in and these were the only outfits they had clean while they were trying to sort out their washing machine problems!!
Luckily it was a engagement shoot clothing suggestion rather than a hard rule and their nerves quickly evaporated and we had a great time wandering round the park getting to know each other and getting relaxed in front of the camera.
As I say to all of my couples, having an engagement shoot is a great way to take some time out from wedding planning, which can sometimes feel a little stressful at points. It’s also a really nice way for us to get to know each other before your big day so I can truly turn up feeling like a friend with a camera rather than hired help. And mostly, it’s a great opportunity to get any nerves out of the way if you’re not feeling super confident about having your photo taken.
Verulamium Park in St Albans also continues to be one of the most popular locations that my couples pick. I can completely understand why… it has the roman ruins, lots of green open space, big trees and looks different in every season. Plus it has the amazing Fighting Cocks pub so we can stop for a cheeky drink after taking photos if you’re so inclined 😉
Helena and Jermey’s wedding at Tewinbury Farm was an absolutely incredible one so definitely check it out and look through their laughter filled engagement photos too.
