The Great Barn wedding photographer: Luke & Lorraine

The Great Barn wedding photographer: Luke & Lorraine

Luke & Lorraine’s wedding was my first opportunity as a Great Barn wedding photographer and the day didn’t disappoint.  The venue is incredible – it’s a 700 year old timber framed barn and is absolutely beautiful.  They’ve stayed true to the original structure and haven’t added windows so you really do feel like you’re in another world, I couldn’t even tell if it was still out when we were in there!

Luke & Lorraine had worked so hard to make sure their day was everything they wanted it to be.  Luke owns a catering company so decided to do all the catering for the day, event organisation, on the day coordination…oh, and make his own wedding cake!  Not to pile the stress on or anything!  But they pulled the whole day off beautifully.  It was a really lovely, relaxed atmosphere from the first moment to the last with hog roast and afternoon tea at different points.   It was also great to see a lot of familiar faces as Luke & Lorraine were recommended to me through Kimberley & Anthony, who is Luke’s cousin.

Lorraine looked beautiful on the day and was obviously in her element.  Often I have to coax couples out of their shells for photos but Lorraine is such a natural in front of the camera – you don’t even tell her anything and she’s posing up a storm!  The fact that Luke & Lorraine are obviously very happy together and have a relationship filled with making each other laugh also made this such a pleasurable day to be involved in.

Hope you like the photos Luke & Lorraine (Lorraine got in touch the day after the wedding to say how she already couldn’t wait to see them)!  Get in touch if you’re planning a wedding and would like to chat about laughter filled wedding photography!
