Carly & Laurie opted for a Hertfordshire engagement shoot in somewhere very special to them both; Brocket Hall. Laurie is a keen golfer so spends a lot of time up at the course perfecting his game. When the time came to pop the question, it was natural that celebrations at Brocket Hall would come into the equation.
In true romantic fashion, Laurie packed a picnic and proposed. Having already told both sets of parents that the proposal would be imminent he insisted on Carly not ringing her parents after she’d said yes. I got the impression she wasn’t too happy about this at the time! It was all because all four parents were waiting at Brocket Hall to celebrate the happy news with a lovely dinner at Auberge du Lac and an overnight stay at the Hall.
What a great way to get engaged!
We had so much fun wandering round the golf course taking photos. It was one of the most incredibly hot days so there really is no better way to spend it than outdoors with lovely people. In hindsight, however, I wish I’d checked the weather and not turned up in jeans and a jumper! There’s so much to look at round Brocket Hall golf course so it made for some really fun photos – I hope you’ll agree!
I cannot wait for Carly & Laurie’s wedding at The Priory in Hertfordshire. Unfortunately I’m going to be exercising my patience as it’s not till autumn 2016. Now that it’s happened I’m delighted to be able to update this post with their gorgeous Priory Barn wedding photos so you can check those out too!
If you’re still looking for a Hertfordshire wedding photographer that offers engagement shoots then please do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
