Best wedding and family photographs from 2014 – a year in review
Wow, I cannot believe it is already 2015! Happy New Year everyone 🙂 I hope you had a wonderful festive period with your family and friends. Plus, of course, enjoyed a nice break from work…
I cannot believe how incredible 2014 was. I feel like I say this at the end of every year! This just makes me reflect on how lucky I am to have such an amazing “job”. The couples that have shared their wedding days with me this year have been simply incredible. The families that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing have been truly wonderful too.
I started the year doing album design for couples who really wanted an album after their wedding. This type of work is so enjoyable as I just relish presenting couples with such a beautiful keepsake.
The first wedding of the year saw me in Greenwich, London and the last saw me at Belvoir Castle near Leicester. In between I got to Surrey, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire. Oh, and Berkshire, Kent, Nottinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Rutland. Plus I threw in journeys to Wales and Amsterdam for weddings! I’ve photographed at almost entirely new venues this year which I have absolutely loved – nothing like challenging yourself creatively.
I’ve photographed a whole bunch of new families this year; some as part of a mini-shoot, others as a full family shoot, some have opted for slice of life shoots where we capture exactly what happens in their daily life – no posing, no pretending!! I bet you can spot which family photos are from which style of shoot?
So, to cut a lot of waffling on short(ish), these are some of my best wedding and family photographs from 2014. Maybe they aren’t always the most perfect or aren’t my couples’ favourites, but they all mean something to me because they’re all real moments with amazing people.
