Hertford Registry Office: a gorgeous registry office

Are you newly engaged and considering a Registry Office for your Hertfordshire wedding ceremony? While these are often uninspiring office buildings there are a few gems around Hertfordshire like Cheshunt, St Albans and top of the list Hertford Registry Office! Here’s my rundown on this historic gem…

ABOUT THE HERTFORD REGISTRY OFFICE

The Hertford Registry Office is located just a short walk from the lovely town centre and Hertford Castle. The massive benefit of this Registry Office is the ample, free parking, beautiful light ceremony room and opportunity to have photos in the iconic arches after your ceremony.

WHY CHOSE A REGISTRY OFFICE  FOR YOUR WEDDING?

Registry Offices don’t have the best reputation if we’re being honest. I’ve been in a lot of them and they aren’t always particularly attractive. However… if you’re thinking of a lower key wedding or want a civil ceremony then Hertford is definitely one of the ones to pick.

1. IT’S ACTUALLY ATTRACTIVE INSIDE!

The ceremony room is light and bright inside making for a nice, attractive space to get married in! It’s also very minimal on the decorations so nothing there takes away from your photos. The room at the Hertford Register Office seats up to 50 people so it’s great for an intimate to mid-sized wedding ceremony.

2. THE STAFF ARE REALLY FRIENDLY

The staff at the Hertfordshire Registrars Service are lovely and will make a real effort to make your wedding ceremony special and memorable. I work with the registrars everywhere at the Hertfordshire wedding venues and they’re always brilliant!

3. PARKING

I appreciate this sounds like a minor benefit, but there are plenty of Registry Offices that have zero parking or expensive parking a good walk from the venue in public carparks.

4. OUTDOOR SPACE

The beautiful arches are fabulous for photos and there is also a lovely little garden area for additional photos. If either of these aren’t floating your boat (or you just can’t get enough photos!) we can take a stroll down to the lovely grounds of Hertford Castle, perhaps as a stopover on our way to your reception drinks or wedding breakfast at one of Hertford’s awesome restaurants?

5. WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE HERTFORD REGISTRY OFFICE

I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings with the Hertfordshire Registrar team so I’m super familiar with the staff and know how to get the best shots for you while remaining discreet. While most of the weddings I photograph are full day affairs, I also offer short packages starting at two hours to accommodate your day if you only want your ceremony, couple photos and family photos covering. I’d love to help you remember your wedding day if you’re after happy, relaxed photography – learn about the whole process of having me as your Hertfordshire wedding photographer right here!

WANT TO CHECK OUT THE HERTFORD REGISTRY OFFICE?

Check out the council’s website where you can contact them directly to arrange a visit or find out more information about a civil ceremony at this venue. In the fullness of time, if life sends you down this path, you may also find yourself back here registering births of children so it may become part of your story in more ways than one.

If you chose this venue and would like to have a natter about whether my style of happy, natural wedding Hertfordshire wedding photography would be a good fit, I’d absolutely love to hear all about your wedding! Don’t forget I have shorter coverage available for the Hertford Register Office as well. You can get in touch with me for a no obligation chat and tell me all about your plans!
