Chris & Charlotte’s wedding was the first time I’d had the pleasure of working as a Quendon Parklands wedding photographer, but it felt like going home as I got married at Quendon a little over 8 years ago. So nice to be back and I’d been looking forward to Chris & Charlotte’s wedding for some time.
The morning was a bit grey and overcast and the forecast promised rain so I didn’t hold out much hope for one of those beautiful sunny days… However, someone somewhere was smiling down on Chris & Charlotte as it turned into a stunning day and the church was bathed in bright sunshine by the time they got to the ceremony. Before that, however, Charlotte got ready with her lovely bridesmaids Kim and Caroline and her Mum. With the wedding being on April Fool’s Day, Kim & Caroline kept trying to wind Charlotte up (good-naturedly of course!), but Charlotte remained cool as a cucumber all morning.
Chris was equally calm when I met him at the church and their ceremony was really sweet, matched by the chocolate box church. On returning to Quendon, Chris, Charlotte and their guests enjoyed drinks in the main hall with a lot of them even braving the April weather for drinks on the lawns. Chris & Charlotte’s reception was in the pavilion and it was decorated to a tee. I loved the jigsaw signing tiles which I’d never seen at a wedding before! They also had little sailor tattoo transfers which a lot of folk had on their arms by the end of the evening…and a few crazier folk with them on foreheads and faces! Good way to keep track of your guests 😉
It was a really lovely day to be part of, made even better by the hard work of Hayley and her team – thank you!
I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon and enjoy the photos!
