Melissa and Karim told me the main aim for their Dyrham Park wedding day was “relaxed” and they achieved this in spades! I have never met quite such a chilled out couple in all my years photographing weddings. Melissa was so calm about every decision that needed making and let absolutely nothing phase her in the run up to the wedding day.
On the wedding day itself they both were the most chilled people in attendance! They got ready together, just the two of them with an atmosphere of total zen surrounding them. Then they went down to greet their guests together (with bubble guns!) before walking down the aisle together. Eschewing tradition further there were no flowers carried, pinned on lapels or on tables as they didn’t want flowers going to waste.
After a short and sweet ceremony where the best men proceeded them down the aisle with bubbled again, we all headed outside to an unseasonably chilly April day for some drinks and photos. Sadly, due to the torrential rain the previous day the golf course was too waterlogged to go far for photos or video with Shaun Holder TV but we made it work right near the venue.
After cutting their amazing Crosstown Donut wedding cake stack, delicious dinner and very sweet speeches, DJ Terry played some awesome games to give away the centrepieces which really got the guests involved; I’d highly recommend him if you’re in the market for a DJ! And then he got the crowd going on the dancefloor including getting every single guest up for the electric slide – gotta love it!
This really was a super chilled out day full of love and warmth.
Huge congrats to Melissa & Karim!
