Have you heard about family photography mini shoots and not been entirely sure what they are and how they differ from normal family photoshoots? Or wanted to book one but have been unsure about the details? Well read on because I’m about to answer all your questions and give you all the details in one handy place!
So much to love about spring, especially this year!
I don’t know about you but I’m feeling super optimistic about things getting a bit better, a bit more normal and I’m so excited about starting to see people gradually.
Plus, I just love the spring. I grew up in Japan and spring was always celebrated with picnics under cherry blossom trees and it’s something I still do (yep, by myself in my back garden!) But the world suddenly goes green and the bluebells carpet the world in purple. Flowers bloom everywhere. What’s not to love?
What is a mini shoot?
Mini shoots are pretty much what it says on the tin. A mini version of a standard family photo shoot. It’s the same great photos but a shorter experience of it.
Where will your mini shoot take place?
This year the spring mini shoots will take place in the gorgeous Highfield Park. Once you’ve booked a shoot, I’ll send you all the information about exactly where we will meet and some more information about the shoot plus answer any questions you might have.
How long will your spring mini shoot last?
These shorts are shorts and sweet; just 20 minutes long! You have a 25-minute slot to arrive, get your gorgeous photos while having fun in front of my camera and crack on with your weekend knowing you’ve got a gallery of amazing photos coming your way!
What photos will be taken?
Don’t worry that the session is short, I’ll definitely capture the all-important ones for you; the all important family shot of all of you and you having fun together too.
Because these are short sessions there is only time for immediate family so these sessions can’t accommodate grandparents or wider family members so if that’s what you’re after please get in touch and I can walk you through the differences between this and a full family shoot.
How much does it cost and what’s included?
Your photos will be worth the wait and will be with you within a week of your shoot. The gallery will contain 10 images for you to choose from.
The cost of your mini shoot is £125, which needs to be paid to secure your slot.
Included in this price are your favourite three digital images for you to download. If you would like all digital images from your gallery you can upgrade to the full gallery for an extra £100 after you have seen the photos.
These shoots get offered to my VIP list members first, so if you’re not on the list you can join via the button below.
A word about the weather
Of course, nobody wants to be outside in the pouring rain so on the morning of the shoots I will make a decision to reschedule if the weather is bad. You will be offered a slot on the new date or a space at the autumn mini shoots if you prefer.
And a word about the dreaded Covid… Of course, I’m hoping that we won’t be thrown into yet another lockdown, but the same thing applies. If we slide backwards with meeting up, you’ll be offered a new date or a slot in autumn.
Can I book a mini shoot another time?
I only run mini sessions once or twice a year. You’re welcome to book a full family photography session during the year at any time where I will spend a minimum of an hour with your family either at your home or on location. This is a much more in-depth portrait of your family and I can happily send you more information and pricing for this experience. Mini shoots, however, are only on set dates
Mini session are offered to my mailing list VIPs first and are likely to sell out there before the slots get released publicly. So put your name on the list below to be the first to hear!
