White House wedding photographer, Windsor: Paul & Alethea

It transpired on Paul & Alethea’s wedding day at The White House in Windsor that we originally met over two years ago at a wedding show & Alethea’s mother remembered me all that time.  (Thank you!)  Paul & Alethea were so busy in the build-up to their big day with work, new jobs and wedding planning that we didn’t have time to get together for their pre-wedding shoot so a few emails back and forth and I was turning up on their day a little in the dark as to what would be going on.

Turns out, they got married on probably one of the hottest British summer days that we’ve had in a while.  It was absolutely sweltering!  Their venue of The White House in Windsor really lent itself well to outdoor drinks, sun-flooded couple shots and a great summer atmosphere.  Helen Andrews the hairdresser and Alexia Jade also deserve a shout out for keeping all the women looking so amazing in such hot weather!

I really did enjoy being involved in Paul & Alethea’s day.  You know when you are around them that this is what happiness is meant to look like.  Paul spent all morning having little gifts sent up to Alethea’s room; ‘bride’ PJs, a robe to get her makeup done in, 50 roses (!), a bottle of Veuve Clicqout and the list goes on.  He is the sweetest of guys and obviously wanted to make Alethea feel spoilt on her special day.  Job well done I reckon!

Alethea was not the calmest bride I have seen in the morning; worrying about everyone but herself.  At one point she just sat on the edge of the bed and said ‘I wish Paul was here with me.  He keeps me calm and balances me out perfectly’.  And if that isn’t what we all want from a partnership I don’t know what is.

Thank you so much for having me at your beautiful wedding and many thanks to Nikki Sheffield for giving me a hand on the day.  If you’re getting married at The White House in Windsor and are still looking for a wedding photographer, do get in touch!
