Home House wedding photographer, London: Emma & Neil
Emma & Neil married at the beautiful Home House in London. It is an exclusive private members’ club, boasting many celebrities among its ranks. This elegant 18th century Georgian building rises above Portman Square in London but you’d be forgiven for not knowing of its existence; there is only an unmarked black door off the road. What I love about Home House is that you step through that door into a truly opulent interior but one that marries the old with the modern so well. Traditional chandeliers were hung next to very modern artworks and the juxtaposition works perfectly.
Emma got ready in a bridal suite like none I’ve ever seen before; they certainly had room to spread out! Emma’s bridesmaid, Laura, was doing the hair and a friend doing the makeup so it was a nicely relaxed morning. The groom and guests were hanging out in the courtyard so the girls had fun spying on them!
Their ceremony was wonderfully emotional and had most of the guests in tears. And possibly their photographer 😉 But you really got the sense that these two are meant to be together and that they were taking the promises to each other very seriously…through frequent fits of laughter! My favourite moment was just after the kiss when they did a cheer to the room, who went wild!
After drinks in the courtyard in the blazing sunshine, Neil & Emma were welcomed in to the wedding breakfast to raputous applause. There was also quite a few renditions of the song ‘More, More, More’ referencing their surname of Moore! The speeches were great; few laughs, few tears, few embarrassing moments. Then this group were ready to party! They had a band in one room, a former MOS DJ in the other. There was then talk of heading to a club for the night but I thought it’d be wise to leave them to it!
