I always get asked ‘where should we have our engagement shoot?’ and the thing I love about my couples is that the ideas and locations have been as different as they are!  To chose just a few from last year; an engagement shoot down on the family farm in the bluebells, a stroll around funky Shoreditch for their love of graffiti, a wander through the route of the first date, the place where they got engaged, a relaxed champagne picnic in the long grasses of Granchester.  The sky really is the limit!

The whole point of a pre-wedding shoot or engagement shoot is to help you feel relaxed both in front of the camera and around me before the big day.  Often couples ask if they ‘need’ an engagement shoot and I think that too is a personal decision.  I’ve had couples who play up to the camera from minute one and others paralysed with nervousness at the thought of having their photo taken.  It’s really down to you if you think it will help relax you on or before the big day.

Another consideration is what to do with the photos – just some fun photos to keep and frame perhaps, or maybe you’d like a personalised signing frame or book for your guests to write in at the wedding?  All things are possible…!
