Cambridge wedding photographer: Melissa & Chris

I was so delighted when Melissa & Chris chose me as their Cambridge wedding photographer. It seems a long time ago that Melissa & I met up on a fairly dismal winter day.  Thankfully it was in sharp contrast to the stunning wedding Chris & Melissa had on their wedding days!

Their day was everything Melissa promised it would be and more. When we first met up she mentioned an intimate ceremony in Clare College and the following day a party at her family home in Cambridgeshire.

What she didn’t mention was just how warm, lovely and inviting all their friends and family are!  I honestly felt like part of the family for a short sliver of time.  Their ceremony at Clare was officiated by Liz who is a Cambridge registrar but also happens to have known Chris for years. It gave the ceremony a wonderfully personal touch. Clare College was picked as Chris’ father is the former dean there so it felt like coming home for his side of the family.  And the gardens were just incredible for their drinks reception.

The Saturday saw Chris & Melissa at Melissa’s family home with their wider circle of friends and family. The weather was kind again so everyone enjoyed pottering round the garden listening to fab music provided by The Right Hook and enjoying the sunshine.

A cricket themed marquee held a formal dinner. I loved all the cricket themed table names and name cards, a nod to Chris’ long-standing involvement with the local cricket club. Between an amazing meal, a vintage photobooth, the brilliant Right Hook Band it was such a great evening.

If you just want to see more photos of Melissa & Chris (and who would blame you!), you can check out their engagement shoot too!
